The reason many believers are not praying with confidence and faith is that they are not finding scriptures that proves that God wants them to have those things they are desiring.They don't know for sure because faith begins where the will or the word of God is known.Once you find the scriptures that promise you what you desire from God,get these scriptures firmly fixed in your heart, not just in your mind .To do that, you'll have to meditate on the word of God.(josh 1:8)

Use the sword of the spirit against the devil in your prayers

In prayer bible studies references must be made on when you get the word firmly fixed in your heart and mind you must use it against the devil.Satan will always attack you during and after your prayers with all sorts of methodology.Use the sword of the spirit against it and it will flee.When Jesus was tempted by the devil to turn the stones into bread, Jesus answered with the word;"it is written, man shall not live by bread alone , but by every word that procedeth out of the mouth of God.(matt 4:4).Jesus conquered the devil with the word.You will live a victorious life by telling the devil what it is written concerning you in your prayers.

Fight the good fight of faith in your prayers

In order to fight the good fight of faith in your prayers , you must learn how to use the sword of the spirit which is the word of God .Fighting the good fight of faith in prayers is speaking the word out of your mouth that you believe in your heart or spirit.That it's why it is important to hide the word of God in your heart and be ready to use scriptures against demons when they try to attack you and try to make you doubt God's word .Be ready to say to Satan "it is written " and quote God's word which is God's will about your situation.

At a particular time, the prophet Isaiah spoke God’s mind to King Hezekiah that he should put his house in order because he was going to die. This prophecy of course came to the King with a note of finality, but the Bible says King Hezekiah “…turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the LORD…” Read this bible verse(2Kings 20:2). Turning his face to the wall signifies shutting out all distractions because he wanted to alter the course of events.If you want to see the demonstration of the power of the Spirit in your life, you’ve got to learn to shut yourself away from the world—away from all distractions and set your mind on the Lord in fellowship.
