Scriptural Exposition On Matthew 7:7 / Ask Seek And Knock Analysis

 Scriptural Exposition On Matthew 7:7

Matthew 7:7 states: "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you." This verse is a part of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, where He imparts important teachings and principles to His disciples and the crowds gathered around Him.

In this particular verse, Jesus encourages His followers to approach God with confidence and persistence. He presents a three-fold invitation: to ask, to seek, and to knock. These verbs represent a progression of intensity, demonstrating the importance of actively seeking a relationship with God and engaging in prayer.

The first invitation is to "ask." Jesus encourages His disciples to bring their requests before God, acknowledging that He is a loving Father who is ready to hear and respond. This invitation emphasizes the significance of prayer in the life of a believer. Through prayer, we can express our needs, desires, and concerns to God, knowing that He is attentive and caring.

The second invitation is to "seek." Seeking implies an active and intentional pursuit. It suggests a diligent search for truth, wisdom, and understanding in God's Word and in our relationship with Him. As we seek God, we cultivate a deeper intimacy with Him, discovering His character, His will, and His plans for our lives. This pursuit involves a hunger for righteousness, a thirst for knowledge, and a desire to align our lives with His purposes.

The third invitation is to "knock." Knocking signifies persistent action and perseverance. It implies approaching the door of opportunity, and waiting expectantly for it to open. This invitation emphasizes the importance of faith and trust in God's timing and provision. We are encouraged to persistently seek His guidance and provision, knowing that He will open doors according to His perfect will and timing.

By combining these three invitations, Jesus highlights the importance of an active, persistent, and faith-filled relationship with God. He assures His disciples that when they ask, seek, and knock, they will receive, find, and have doors opened to them. However, it's important to note that the fulfillment of our requests is aligned with God's wisdom, love, and purposes for our lives. God may answer our prayers in ways that we least expect, but He is always faithful to provide what is best for us.

Matthew 7:7 serves as a powerful reminder of the invitation and promise Jesus extends to His followers. It encourages us to approach God with boldness, persistence, and trust, knowing that He is eager to hear us, reveal Himself to us, and guide us on our journey of faith. May we be diligent in our pursuit of God, seeking His will, and trusting in His unfailing love and provision?

The Bible’s teachings are very important in the life of a simple Christian.

We are all familiar with the story. God the Father sent to  us his only Son, Jesus Christ, to spread His teachings and the good word. But some people didn’t share the same views that Jesus was a prophet. Instead they saw him as a threat, and chose to have him crucified and die on the cross. After Jesus rose from the dead and ascended into heaven, His remaining disciples were touched by the Holy Spirit, and the Christian teachings soon spread across the lands far and wide. The people repented their sins. “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer” (Acts 2:42). They believed.

This is where the importance of reading and being familiar with Bible verses lie. The verses contained in the Bible tell the story of the beginning of Man and the universe. They tell the story of Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, the fall of Man. Bible verses show us the birth of our Savior, His hardships living the life of a simple man, His family, His death and His ultimate sacrifice to save mankind. These Bible verses tell us the most endearing stories ever told. They tell us what we have yet to know, and ought to know, about the Christian belief.

Reading Bible verses today is still as important as it was reading them way back during the time of the disciples. It could have a huge impact on your life. It will change the way you perceive life, see the things around you, make tough decisions. Bible verses have this power to change lives for the better. Especially nowadays when every corner of the world seems plagued with problems, a simple reading of Bible verses could do wonders for your spiritual health and perception.

When you want to read Bible verses, the only place to find them used to be the Bible. But not anymore. Nowadays you can easily find Bible verses everywhere on the Internet, uploaded online by spirited individuals looking to spread the holy scriptures to the younger generations. Time passed and even more individuals followed suit, more Bible verses were uploaded online each day. Today “Bible verses” is one of the most popular searches on the Internet every year. The enthusiasm to familiarize oneself on the Bible verses only grows more popular every year, and shows no signs up slowing down anytime soon.

One of the most wonderful things brought on by Bible verses on the Internet is how easy it is to search for Bible verses based on certain topics. For example, you no longer have to plow through the Bible to search for Bible verses about addiction, marriage, love, forgiveness, salvation, etc. Simply search for the keywords “Bible verses about addiction”, “Bible verses about marriage”, “Bible verses about love”, and so on and so forth.

Take your time reading Bible verses on the Internet and familiarize yourself with the Holy Word.
